WHAT IS A DOLBY ATMOS HOME THEATER?
The principle of Dolby Atmos immersive sound
Dolby Atmos is a "3D" audio format that adds a vertical dimension to traditional surround sound systems and works with sounds processed as independent audio objects rather than simple channels.
Each sound is encoded with a position in a three-dimensional space rather than being assigned to a fixed left/right/surround channel. The playback system interprets the coordinates given to the objects and distributes them across the speakers to recreate an immersive soundscape for the viewer, who finds themselves at the heart of the action.
Dolby Atmos 3D sound, used in movie theaters open to the public, can now be installed in home theaters.
The difference between Dolby Atmos and a conventional home theater system
In a traditional home theater, the surround sound system is fixed and works laterally from left to right.
With Dolby Atmos audio technology, what is known as "3D sound" has emerged. Unlike older surround sound systems (such as 5.1 or 7.1), Atmos adds a vertical dimension: sounds can come not only from all sides, but also from above or below. Thanks to the precise installation of various Dolby Atmos modules (speakers, sound bars, loudspeakers, etc.), the multidirectional sound adapts to the room and is perceived very clearly and distinctly.
Dolby Atmos technology has revolutionized the science of sound and image by offering a much more immersive and strikingly realistic cinema experience!
WHY CHOOSE DOLBY ATMOS FOR A HOME THEATER?
Dolby Atmos sound in a home theater puts the viewer at the center of the action.
If you want an immersive, realistic, and unique cinema experience, Dolby Atmos is the obvious choice!
DESIGN OF A CUSTOM DOLBY ATMOS HOME THEATER
Acoustic study and speaker placement
An acoustic study of your venue allows us to set soundproofing objectives based on the environment.
This study analyzes the room (dimensions, materials, reverberation, modes) and then defines the placement of speakers and treatments to achieve consistent sound quality in the targeted areas.
Choosing Dolby Atmos-compatible equipment
Each stage of the project is carried out in close collaboration with you. We determine the capacity of your room and assist you in choosing the Dolby Atmos-compatible equipment that will be used.
Our experts will advise you on the best Dolby Atmos-compatible ceiling speakers and/or sound bars for your needs.
