STUDIO DU PETIT-THOUARS
UNDER THE VAULTED CEILING OF A PARISIAN CELLAR, THE ARCHES OF A BESPOKE STUDIO WERE BORN.
Owner: Théa Meneur

Location: Paris
In 2020, Théa Meneur commissioned us to transform a building cellar into a music studio. In the heart of Paris, we proposed playing with the cellar vault to build an exposed structure of wooden arches.

In addition to the absorbent treatment behind the fabric on certain parts of the vault, front and rear walls, the arches contribute to better sound diffusion and the suppression of floating echoes.
The fall of the arch at the sweet spot (ideal listening point) is intended to add thickness to the ceiling treatment.
Innovative in terms of structure, the arches are made from timber frameworks and CNC-cut.
