CHASSOL
CREATION OF A PRODUCTION STUDIO THAT CONVERTS INTO A FAMILY SCREENING ROOM.
Owner: Christophe Chassol
Contractor: Red House Acoustics
General contractor: Red House Factory
Location: Le Pré-Saint-Gervais
Image music composer Christophe Chassol wants to equip his newly-renovated home with a room where he can work during the day and relax in the evening with the rest of his family during film screenings.
The room will therefore be both a production studio
and a cinema. It will need to be isolated from the rest of the house
and from adjoining neighbors.
For this project, the design reconciles these two uses in a warm, woody 70's style, while remaining consistent with the aesthetics of the rest of the house.
Divided in two, the volume assembles a workstation with two electric pianos and a dedicated monitor at the rear, and a projection area with a cosy sofa at the front.
